A new Erasmus+ project, DigiUP, officially launched today with a dynamic networking event, bringing together young innovators, aspiring entrepreneurs, and youth workers.
The project aims to tackle the growing digital skills gap in Europe and empower youth with the tools they need to thrive in the modern business landscape.
DigiUP: Fostering Digital Entrepreneurship Skills for Young Innovators is a one-year project (2024-2025) co-funded by the European Union. It operates in Portugal, Lithuania, and Hungary, with a mission to combine digital training with sustainability and social responsibility. The project recognizes that today's leaders require not only technical proficiency but also a strong sense of environmental and social awareness.
Today's launch event showcased the project's multifaceted approach, which includes an inspiring podcast series, intensive hands-on bootcamps, and innovative networking opportunities. A highlight of the event was the "Entrepreneurial Quests," a gamified networking format designed to foster collaboration and creative problem-solving among participants.
The DigiUP project is a strategic partnership between three experienced organizations:
•EducPro (Portugal): The project lead, bringing extensive experience in youth education, professional development, and coordinating international initiatives.
•Svietimas ir Paveldas (Lithuania): This partner strengthens the project's focus on sustainability, with expertise in social entrepreneurship and green business practices.
•Creative Youth Academy (Hungary): This organization will help to increase the project's impact through its experience in innovative learning methods and civil society participation.
DigiUP is more than just a training program; it's a community-driven initiative that reflects European values of innovation, inclusivity, and collaboration.
By equipping young people with future-ready digital skills and a socially conscious mindset, the project aims to empower a new generation of entrepreneurs who can build economically viable and socially positive businesses.
Today's event featured:
